2026 BIG SEE Product Design Awards Announced, 12 Bathroom Products Win

Recently, the 2026 BIG SEE Awards announced the winners of its Product Design Award. This year, 12 bathroom products won awards, with the winning companies being mainly European enterprises, including AXOR (Hansgrohe) and others. The Chinese company Main Plan also had a product among the winners. The BIG SEE Awards were founded in 2018 by Zavod Big, a creative agency based in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Originally a regional design competition for Southeastern Europe, it has now grown into a comprehensive international design award and is a highly recognized prize in the European kitchen and bath, home furnishing, and architecture industries.

AXOR Archivio was created by the renowned design studio Barber Osgerby. The design draws on the forms of classic vessels and the concept of transitional-style design, blending soft contours, flowing curves, and finely crafted, delicate fittings. The design concept of Tauras is to create a structure that is calm, weighty, and integrated into nature. From the outside, it looks like a minimalist dark block, gently nestled within a mountain landscape. The building’s facade is made of Japanese shou sugi ban charred wood, whose deep matte black tone naturally provides weather-resistant properties. The vertical grain of the wood echoes the surrounding trees, allowing the sauna to blend perfectly into its natural environment.

The series name comes from its subversive control structure: unlike the conventional upward-lifting method of operation, the entire faucet head tilts toward the user, as if bowing in greeting. The handle is available in two finishes: a clean, neat vertical straight-grain texture, or an irregular hand-carved texture.

This company continues to deeply cultivate the craft of three-dimensional marble carving and applies this craft to the freestanding floor-mounted basin category. This time, it partnered with French designer Christophe Pillet to create the Dawn series. The product is based on a single cylindrical block of raw stone, sculpting a sculptural quality through fine surface processing of the natural stone, then through hand carving and chiseling, fully highlighting the unique natural texture of the stone itself.

The linear drainage channel is cleverly embedded in the transitional junction where wall and floor tiles meet. Its overall form is simple and crisp, seamlessly blending into the spatial atmosphere—clearly visible yet not obtrusive or attention-grabbing. The channel surface is smooth and edgeless, with excellent drainage efficiency; it is visually pleasing while also easy to clean, able to stay clean and hygienic for a long time.
